Early voting has set restrictions from Rock Island County. Starting 9/24/20, early voting is available at RI County Courthouse. Beginning 10/19/20 early voting will be available at Western University. There will be no voting trolley this year, but voting can be done on election day at River Valley Library

Village of Port Byron Election Information

Three Port Byron Village Trustee positions and the Mayor position are up for election in the 2021 election to be held on April 6th.

Elections now in Port Byron are nonpartisan, based on voter response in the April 2017 election. Nonpartisan candidates do not run under any party affiliation, and in order to run, they must complete a petition by obtaining signatures from Village residents in order to be on the ballot.  The deadline to turn in a petition is November 23rd, 2020, And must be filed with the Village Clerk, Jamie Engels, by that date.

The necessary paperwork to run for office is available at the Village Clerk’s office at 120 S Main, Port Byron.  For more info, call 523-3705.
